I am currently working as a graphic designer at LifeWay Christian Resources in their Training and Events Production department. I do a little bit of everything: video, print, and web.
My desire is to leverage my geekiness: technology, internet, social media, call it whatever you want, to bring Glory and Honor to God, the Father.
I love doing freelance. It allows me to meet some unique people and work on some fun projects.

This is my outlet. This is where I share my thoughts, my creativity, and who I am with the world (well, those that have internet access).
I’m learning that beauty extends beyond things that are seen. Yes, design is a visual medium, but conversations, code, music, relationships, etc. are all expressions of beauty.
Some things you only learn by doing. I realized, if I’m consulting others, then I need to be walking the talk. This is my attempt to understand the internet.
The thing I hate love about design is that it is subjective. Everyone has an opinion. However, it is in the sharing that we strengthen each other as designers.
Let me explain. If I had to dig through Google results to figure out how to make something happen, I think it’s safe to assume that there are others like me. I want to share what I’ve found so that you Google one less time.
This site was built using Google’s Blueprint CSS framework, jQuery, WordPress, and magic.
I design in my moleskine, push pixels in Photoshop, and code in Textmate.
The entire site is set in Proxima Nova (implemented via TypeKit). The “Amy” script in the header is some of Micah Lanier’s custom work.

I have a day job that pays the bills. My blog is about you. I want to share things I learn. I want conversation. Two is always better than one.
However, I do participate in affiliate programs (namely, Amazon’s). I figure, if I’m going to share a link anyway, why not make a buck or two. — Just know, I’m not sharing links to make money, that’s only an added benefit.
